Easy-Fit® Jumper

Safe and easy

Purpose: Fixed aid for the correction of Class II malocclusions

Completely uncomplicated handling

The Easy-Fit® Jumper (according to Dr. Michael Williams) is a fixed appliance for the correction of Class II malocclusions which is used in combination with a standard bracket archwire appliance. Compared to conventional appliances this Class II treatment alternative offers numerous advantages. Its unique design – the stepless protrusive movement capabilities as well as the absence of shims – increase the ease and safety of Class II treatments.

Most Class II appliances require elaborate lab work and at least three chairside patient sessions (impression, band fit, cementation of appliance, removal of bracket after correcting the bite). Now, with the Easy-Fit® Jumper all this can be completed in one session. It is not attached via bands or splints, but directly to the bracket/archwire appliance. It is easily fitted to the archwire using special pivots.

Most Class II appliances require hinges in different lengths or the length needs to be adjusted by means of shims. To adapt these appliances within the treatment process, the appliances need to be removed and the length adjusted. However, the Easy-Fit® Jumper allows easy and safe intra-oral adjustment and activation! And this completely uncomplicated and safe.

Benefits:

  1. Fast application as the appliance can be inserted in only one chairside session
  2. Stepless advancement of the lower jaw due to unique design of the appliance
  3. Safe treatment successes as non-dependent on patient compliance
  4. Easy handling, as no shims or multiple removal of the appliance is required
  5. Economic as no elaborate lab work is required
  6. Quicker treatment as Class II correction can be performed together with bracket treatment
  7. No stock of shims required, as not required
  8. Asymmetrical advancement - accurate to within 1/8 mm per side
